Common Household Troubleshooting


Internet Down

  1. Power cycle AT&T Gateway - unplug router and modem, wait 60 seconds, let them reboot and see if that fixes it. DO NOT reset router to factory settings as it will loose all programming.
  2. Check cables and make sure everythings connected
  3. If all that fails, call AT&T support 704-890-2204. Just need to know my main phone number 704-890-2204 . We can't trouble shoot from our side unfortunately. If still having problems, let us know and we can come out the next day to fix it.

Wired Internet Connection

Some employers and online programs will require a wired connection to the router. Running an ethernet wire through the house is a liability, so instead we suggest the solution of a Powerline Giabit Port. Most popular one used is by NETGEAR, however ther are many manufactures for this technology that uses existing electrical wiring to extend internet access to any room.

Locked out of Room - Dead Battery

If your battery is going dead on your unit, it will give an audible beep different from when opening the door. Contact Maintenance to change the battery. If you are without power, you should have a battery pack in the house. It plugs into the bottom of the door knob to supply temporary power for entry.

Maintenance Requests

Log into our online portal to submit maintenance requests on your account. The portal goes directly to maintenance as opposed to emails or texts that funnel through our office team.
